Alastair Carey
Bless├ęd Cecilia
Alastair leads The Sarum Consort in its 25th anniversary performance, with music celebrating musicians and St Cecilia, including works by G P da Palestrina, Thomas Crecquillon, Orlando de Lasso, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Miles Hogan and Benjamin Britten’s “Hymn to St Cecilia”

I’m passionate about choral music.

I perform as a professional singer in concerts across the United Kingdom and Europe; I direct amateur and professional choral ensembles in London, Cambridge, and Salisbury; and I prepare new performing editions of early music from facsimile.

“It is difficult to write a review for The Sarum Consort’s first outing with their new director Alastair Carey without sounding sycophantic ... stunning ... a wonderful performance”
